Our client, an established hosting provider serving B2B clients across regulated industries, is looking to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing Technical Department.

Working closely with the Technical Lead, the successful candidate will take ownership of complex infrastructure environments, act as a senior escalation point and support junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Manage production Ubuntu and AlmaLinux environments, including hardening, firewalls, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Design, migrate and maintain VMware (vSphere/ESXi), Proxmox and Hyper-V environments.
Manage and troubleshoot TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and firewall environments.
Act as an escalation point during outages, performing root-cause analysis and resolving complex infrastructure issues.
Maintain technical documentation, runbooks and infrastructure standards.
Review technical changes and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

5+ years' hands-on experience across Linux, virtualisation and networking.
Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with VMware, Proxmox and/or Hyper-V.
Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and firewalls.
Experience within a hosting provider, MSP, data centre or regulated B2B environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
Excellent English communication skills.
pfSense, OpenVPN, RHCE, VCP, CCNA or CCNP experience/certifications would be considered an advantage.
