HEAD OF LEGAL

We are currently partnering with a leading professional services firm in Malta to find an experienced and commercially driven Head of Legal to lead their growing legal function.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a warranted lawyer who is ready to take ownership of a diverse and international client portfolio, with a strong focus on iGaming, corporate, commercial, regulatory, and crypto-related matters.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing legal team
Act as a key advisor to management and clients on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
Oversee legal work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high-quality delivery
Provide expert guidance to iGaming clients on licensing, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
Allocate resources effectively across client engagements and projects
Maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and external counsel
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
Support business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the legal department
Act as the primary legal point of contact for key clients
Support senior leadership on strategic and ad hoc legal matters

Qualifications

Warrant to practice law in Malta
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a law firm or corporate services environment

Required Skills

Strong and proven experience in iGaming legal matters (mandatory)
Solid expertise in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law
Strong understanding of Maltese and international iGaming regulatory frameworks
Excellent communication skills in English (Maltese is a plus)
Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Commercial mindset with a client-focused approach
Proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented attitude

Preferred Skills

Experience in complex and cutting-edge legal matters in iGaming and crypto
