Swimming pools & water areas

Check pool condition daily: water clarity, level and general cleanliness.
Test and maintain correct pH and chlorine/chemical levels.
Add pool chemicals as required and keep records where necessary.
Clean pool surfaces, steps, waterline and surrounding areas.
Skim leaves, insects and debris from the water.
Vacuum/brush the pool as required.
Empty and clean skimmer baskets and filters.
Backwash/clean filtration systems according to schedule.
Check pumps, filters, heaters and other pool equipment for correct operation.
Monitor the heated rooftop/private pool and jacuzzi systems where applicable.
Report leaks, unusual water loss, equipment faults or safety concerns immediately.
Keep pool plant/technical areas clean, organised and safe.
Maintain appropriate stock of pool chemicals and maintenance supplies.

General hotel maintenance / handyperson

Carry out daily checks of common areas, guest rooms and outdoor spaces for maintenance issues.
Perform minor plumbing repairs: leaking taps, running toilets, blocked drains, shower heads, etc.
Perform simple electrical maintenance such as changing bulbs, batteries and light fittings where legally permitted.
Repair door handles, locks, hinges, cupboards, drawers, curtain rails and similar fittings.
Carry out small painting, sealing, silicone and touch-up jobs.
Check air-conditioning units for obvious problems and clean accessible filters when required.
Check water pumps, water heaters and other basic hotel equipment.
Assist with identifying faults and coordinate/access areas for external technicians when specialist work is required.
Keep maintenance tools and storage areas clean and organised.
