Job Description
- Break, Test & Secure Next-Generation Payment Technology
- AI-Powered Security | Application & Offensive Security
- Fully Remote in Europe | €50k–€100k + Equity
What if you could actively challenge the security of a global payments platform, find weaknesses before attackers do, and build the solutions to prevent them?
This opportunity is with a fast-growing international fintech transforming the global payments landscape through stablecoin technology, instant settlement and AI-driven fraud prevention. Having achieved exceptional revenue growth and scaled to multi-billion-dollar annual transaction volumes, the organisation is continuing to invest heavily in its technology and security capabilities as it expands internationally.
You'll join a growing security function, reporting directly to the security leadership team and collaborating closely with the CTO and Software Engineering teams. This is a hands-on position with broad exposure across application security, infrastructure, security operations and software development. You'll play a key role in strengthening the company's security posture while actively identifying weaknesses before they become real threats.
This position is ideally suited to a technically strong security professional who understands software development and enjoys getting into the code rather than relying solely on automated scanners. You'll have the opportunity to build security processes, conduct internal penetration testing and introduce AI-powered tools such as Claude Security and Claude Code into security testing and remediation. With direct access to decision-makers, significant technical ownership and an ambitious engineering environment, you'll have the freedom to challenge existing approaches and make a visible impact.
You will:
- Build and operate SIEM capabilities, developing security dashboards to monitor alerts, anomalies, authentication activity and infrastructure changes.
- Conduct continuous internal penetration testing across applications, APIs, infrastructure and SDKs, identifying vulnerabilities and driving remediation.
- Lead vulnerability and dependency management, analysing CVEs, reviewing scanning results and automating security updates.
- Integrate security into the software development lifecycle through code reviews, threat modelling, SAST, DAST and secrets scanning.
- Leverage AI-powered security tools to accelerate code analysis, vulnerability discovery, testing and remediation, while supporting security compliance requirements.
Skills / Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in Security Engineering, Application Security, Product Security, DevSecOps or a similar role, with strong hands-on exposure to penetration testing and vulnerability management.
- Strong development knowledge, with the ability to read, understand, and analyse code.
- Experience with SIEM platforms, security monitoring, cloud infrastructure and vulnerability management tooling. Exposure to AWS, GitHub, Elastic and AI-powered security tools is beneficial.
Salary / Remuneration: €50,000–€100,000 + Equity and Benefits
