Job Description

The Inventory Accounting Officer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting activities relating to the Group's aircraft spare parts operations. The role ensures the accurate processing of financial transactions, maintains reliable accounting records and supports inventory accounting processes in compliance with Group policies, statutory requirements and internal controls.

Working closely with Procurement, Engineering, Logistics and Finance teams, the Inventory Accounting Officer contributes to the effective management of inventory-related financial transactions while supporting the accuracy and integrity of the Group's financial records.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate bookkeeping records relating to aircraft spare parts inventory, repairs, exchanges, sales and disposals.
Process supplier invoices and monitor accounts payable associated with spare parts, logistics providers, maintenance organizations and operational suppliers.
Issue sales invoices, monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
Perform inventory reconciliations between operational systems and accounting records.
Process payments and maintain supporting documentation.
Record general ledger entries and intercompany transactions.
Assist with VAT, tax and statutory reporting requirements.
Liaise with suppliers, customers, auditors, banks and internal stakeholders.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and support annual audits.
Perform any other duties as required in relation to the department's activities.

Education

A minimum of an A Level in Accounting.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping or finance role.
Experience in inventory accounting, spare parts accounting, aviation, maintenance, logistics or supply chain environments would be considered an asset.
Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger accounting.
Knowledge of VAT regulations and accounting treatment of inventory transactions would be advantageous.
Experience working with ERP and inventory management systems.
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Professional, dependable and able to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with various departments.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business applications.
