Pursue Consultancy is partnering with a well-established and rapidly expanding group of companies to recruit a Financial Controller for one of its key subsidiaries.

Working closely with the Group CFO and Board of Directors, you'll play a key role in driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and helping the business navigate an exciting period of continued growth.

The Opportunity:

As the Financial Controller, you'll lead the day-to-day finance function of one of the group's subsidiaries, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and the delivery of meaningful commercial insights.

This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and provides the autonomy to influence the direction of the business while developing and mentoring an experienced finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage and develop a finance team
Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and tax requirements.
Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
Drive continuous improvements across finance processes and reporting.
Provide commercial analysis and financial insights to support business decisions.
Work closely with operational managers to improve financial performance.
Partner directly with the Group CFO and Board on strategic initiatives.
Support audits and maintain strong internal controls.
Contribute to projects arising from the group's continued expansion.

What we're looking for

Fully qualified accountant, although candidates who are qualified through experience will also be considered.
Previous experience managing or supervising a finance team, preferably within a Group environment.
Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with commercial awareness.
Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive mindset with the ability to drive improvements and embrace growth.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

This is an on-site role, with elements of flexibility.
