Overview

Responsible for timely, safe, and accurate delivery of biscuits and snacks to customers across Malta, maintaining professional customer service and upholding company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfilment & Delivery: Load, transport, and deliver goods according to scheduled routes and manifests; ensure orders match paperwork and invoices.
Route Planning & Time Management: Follow efficient routes, manage delivery schedule, and adapt to traffic or site constraints to meet delivery windows.
Customer Interaction: Provide courteous, professional service at all customer locations; obtain signatures or cash, handle delivery queries, and record exceptions or returns.
Goods Handling & Safety: Securely load/unload items, use handling equipment where required, and adhere to manual handling and road safety regulations.
Vehicle Care & Documentation: Perform basic vehicle checks (fuel, oil, tyre pressure), report defects, keep vehicle clean, and maintain delivery logs, proof-of-delivery records, and incident reports.
Returns & Stock Control: Report shortages/damages, and assist with inventory counts when required.
Compliance: Follow company policies, health & safety procedures, and legal driving regulations; report accidents or near-misses promptly.
Team Collaboration: Coordinate with warehouse, dispatch, and customer service teams to resolve issues and improve delivery performance.

Skills and Qualifications

Language Proficiency: Native Maltese and full professional English.
Experience: Some years of experience and driving experience are important.
Licences & Certifications: Valid Malta Category C driving licence and clean driving record.
Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and ability to handle customer concerns calmly.
Organisational Skills: Reliable time management, accuracy in paperwork, and ability to follow routes and schedules independently.
Physical Requirements: Good physical fitness for lifting, carrying, and repetitive tasks.
Technical Skills: Comfortable using GPS/mobile devices for route guidance.
Attitude: Responsible, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to work with minimal supervision.
