We’re looking for a Machine Operator to ensure that machines under his control are running in a pre-set condition at the best utilisation possible.

Key responsibilities

Ensure machines are working to process effectively.
Ensure that process and control plans are supplied and control charts completed as required.
Change and clean moulds as required and / or requested by supervisor.
Ensure material is handled according to procedures and correctly identified.
Report any machine problems that might cause defective products to the supervisor.
Ensure moulded parts are placed in containers with correctly identified traveller cards.
Refer to the production supervisor any moulding or associated problems.
Ensure maximum output is achieved within the machine cycle times.
Ensure the working area is kept as tidy as possible, keeping material preforms covered, to reduce the risk of contamination.
Ensure accuracy of preform placement on the mould cavity, taking necessary action and care to produce optimum quality products.
Ensure moulds are located in the press, which avoids the likelihood of damage.
Ensure moulded details are placed into containers which are correctly identified.
Ensure that any process / control plans are supplied and control charts completed as required.
Carry out all work activities in compliance with the Company's Health and Safety Regulations.
Compliance with the requirements of the ISO14001 environment management system and the ISO45001 occupational health and safety management system.
Responsible for reporting any hazards / near misses / incidents that you’re aware of immediately to the area management.

What we are looking for

A good standard of education and knowledge of the injection moulding techniques is required in addition to quality procedures and standards.
