Role Description The Lecturer in IT & AI will deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials to undergraduate and postgraduate learners in Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence. This contract, on-site role is based at EU Global’s campus in Saint Julian's, Malta, and involves designing and updating course materials, assessments, and learning activities aligned with institutional standards. The lecturer will guide project-based learning, supervise student projects and dissertations, and provide academic mentoring and feedback. Responsibilities include engaging in curriculum development, collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives, and contributing to the integration of practical industry trends into teaching. The role also involves participation in academic meetings, quality assurance activities, and, where relevant, research or scholarly work that enhances the IT & AI programs.

Qualifications

Must be based in Malta, classes can be flexibly scheduled.
Masters diploma/ degree in IT, AI or related field is a must.
Strong foundation in Information Technology, including relevant tools, systems, and current industry practices.
Proven experience in Teaching, Training, and Lecturing in higher education or professional settings.
Practical expertise in Software Development, with the ability to integrate coding and applied projects into curricula.
Advanced knowledge in Artificial Intelligence or closely related domains (e.g., machine learning, data science) is highly beneficial.
Relevant academic qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field (Master’s or Doctorate preferred).
Ability to design and deliver project-based, learner-centered, and competency-focused coursework.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with an inclusive and learner-focused teaching approach.
Experience with educational technologies, learning management systems, and digital tools used in higher education.
Interest in research, innovation, and collaboration with industry partners to keep curricula aligned with emerging trends.
Commitment to ethical practice, diversity, and continuous professional development in teaching and subject expertise.
