Cleaner

Cleaners are responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas, ensuring hygiene, safety, proper sanitation, and a neat environment at all times.

The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness throughout the assigned premises. The role involves cleaning and maintaining offices, restaurants, hotels, residential properties, shops, public areas, kitchens, bathrooms, corridors, and other designated spaces according to the required standards. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean floors, carpets, walls, windows, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces. Clean and disinfect toilets, bathrooms, kitchens, dining areas, staff areas, and other facilities. Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish safely and according to workplace procedures. Clean windows, glass doors, mirrors, and other glass surfaces. Maintain cleanliness of entrances, corridors, staircases, lifts, and common areas. Clean and sanitise high-touch areas such as door handles, switches, tables, counters, and railings. Use cleaning chemicals, detergents, disinfectants, and cleaning equipment safely and correctly. Follow health, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures at all times. Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are properly stored and maintained. Replenish toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and other cleaning or hygiene supplies when required. Report damaged equipment, maintenance problems, hazards, or safety concerns to the supervisor or management. Maintain a clean and organised working area and ensure all assigned tasks are completed within the required time. Assist with deep cleaning and special cleaning tasks when required. Follow instructions from supervisors and cooperate with other members of staff. Provide professional and respectful service while working around customers, guests, employees, or residents. Perform additional cleaning-related duties reasonably assigned by the employer. The Cleaner is expected to be reliable, punctual, physically capable of performing the duties required, attentive to detail, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. The employee must maintain confidentiality, follow company policies, and consistently contribute to a safe, clean, hygienic, and pleasant environment.
