Prestige Fitness Malta is looking for a professional, reliable and experienced Self-Employed Barber to operate from our premises in Ta’ Xbiex.

This is an excellent opportunity for a barber who wants to run their own business from a professional, modern location without the overheads normally associated with operating their own premises.

The Opportunity

The Barber will operate on a fully self-employed basis and will be responsible for managing their own clients, bookings and services.

Rather than Prestige taking a percentage of the Barber’s earnings, the Barber will simply pay Prestige a fixed daily fee for the use of the barber space/station.

The Barber will then retain 100% of all income generated from their barbering services.

The daily fee will include the use of the designated barber area together with normal utilities associated with operating from the premises.

Prestige will cover utilities, including electricity, water and use of the premises.

There will therefore be no commission or percentage deducted from the Barber’s client income.

Key Responsibilities

The Barber will be expected to:

Provide professional barbering, grooming and related services to clients.
Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service.
Maintain the barber station and surrounding area in a clean, hygienic and professional condition.
Ensure all equipment and tools are appropriately cleaned and sanitised.
Manage their own appointments and client relationships.
Handle and retain payments received directly from their clients.
Maintain appropriate professional standards while operating within Prestige Fitness Malta.
Comply with all applicable health, hygiene, licensing and regulatory requirements.
Provide their own barbering tools, equipment and consumable products unless otherwise agreed with Prestige.

Self-Employed Arrangement

This opportunity is offered strictly on a self-employed basis.

The Barber will operate their own independent business and will be responsible for their own:

Tax and National Insurance obligations;
VAT obligations, where applicable;
licences, permits or registrations required to provide their services;
insurance, including appropriate professional/public liability insurance;
client records and bookings;
pricing of their services;
income and business expenses.

The Barber will not be an employee of Prestige Fitness Malta and no salary, holiday pay, sick pay or other employment benefits will apply.

Financial Arrangement

The Barber will pay Prestige Fitness Malta an agreed fixed daily fee for each day on which the barber space is used.

In return:

Prestige will provide the designated barber space;
normal utilities will be included;
there will be no additional electricity or water charges;
Prestige will not take a commission from individual treatments or appointments; and
the Barber will retain 100% of the income generated from their clients.

This arrangement gives the Barber the freedom to grow their own clientele and business while benefiting from operating within an established, professional fitness and wellness facility.

Reliable and well presented;
Highly conscious of hygiene and cleanliness;
Motivated to build and maintain their own client base;
Comfortable working independently on a self-employed basis; and
