We’re seeking an Internal Audit Consultant to help manage our client portfolio of outsourced and co-sourced audit functions. This senior role involves working in a dynamic environment, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks, and coordinating key client relationships.

Your Responsibilities

Develop and implement internal audit policies, procedures, and programmes
Manage and conduct internal audits within agreed timelines
Prepare client-specific audit plans after conducting risk assessments
Recommend improvements to internal controls, operational efficiency, and accounting procedures
Report findings and recommendations to clients’ management and boards
Oversee risk areas and control weaknesses in clients’ operations
Conduct follow-up reviews on financial, operational, or regulatory deficiencies
Interface with clients to optimize processes and resources
Perform internal audits, governance reviews, and risk assessments
Prepare audit working papers and reports following the firm's methodology
Review junior auditors’ work for quality assurance
Assist in preparing client proposals and internal audit plans

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in Internal Audit
Experience in Risk Management
CIA, CISA, CPA, or PCA qualifications
Strong writing, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Fluent in English (Maltese is an asset)
Proven leadership skills to coach and develop team members
