KPMG is currently seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Risk Consulting Advisory Services Team within the Advisory Function; although the role entails your assistance with the provision of Internal Audit Services to several regulated entities (including Banks, Financial Institutions, Insurers and Gaming Entities), you will also have the opportunity to contribute to other Governance, Risk and Compliance advisory projects.

Job Responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager in the Risk Consulting Advisory Services Team, you will:

Contribute to the day-to-day planning and execution of Governance, Risk and Compliance Services (“GRCS”) engagements, with a focus on internal audits, with minimal direction. Such activities may include the design and development of risk assessments, internal audit plans, audit programs, working papers, reports, and other deliverables based on the specific engagement requirements
Perform and plan fieldwork and ensure timely completion of assigned engagement phases, including the management of small engagements
Supervise, coach and help review the work performed by junior members within the team;
Advise senior members of the team of progress on the job and any developments that may lead to a change of plan
Collate and review results and recommendations for discussion with senior team members and draft clear and concise reports with minimal guidance, reviewing the work of more junior team members as applicable. Involved in the presentation of results to management, as applicable
Take ownership of self-development to prepare for greater responsibilities and career growth and take the initiative to seek out opportunities for continued learning for oneself and for others
Assist in the management of collaboration with firm-wide subject matter experts for the effective execution of engagements
Develop and maintain a positive, productive, collaborative professional relationship with the client management-level staff and engagement managers to provide well-coordinated and consistent high-performance results

Required Qualifications and Skills

A minimum of three years of internal audit experience with preference given to persons exhibiting IA experience in Banking, FIs, Insurers and/or Gaming entities
Degree in accountancy (or related field), ACCA or CIA (or similar professional qualifications);
Experience within a professional services firm would be preferred
A superb team player with excellent communication and analytical skills, and able to work with minimal supervision
Proficient in spoken and written English
Good project management skills and willing to pursue a relevant qualification such as CIA, CISA, etc. Preference will be given to candidates holding such certifications
