Fenech & Fenech Advocates is seeking an experienced practitioner to join its Financial Services Department and help lead the growth of its Fintech and Financial Regulatory practice.

About the Role

You will advise clients on fintech, digital assets, and financial regulatory matters—particularly under the MiCA framework—while driving business development in this rapidly evolving sector.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and grow the firm’s fintech and digital assets offering.
Advise on MiCA, CASP licensing, crypto‑asset offerings, stablecoins, e‑money tokens, tokenisation and blockchain platforms.
Support MFSA‑regulated entities including EMIs, PSPs and fintech/virtual asset firms.
Draft and review regulatory policies, manuals and compliance documentation.
Act as a primary client contact and contribute to thought leadership and industry initiatives.

Candidate Profile

Qualified practitioner with experience in financial services, fintech or regulation.
Strong knowledge of Maltese/EU frameworks including MiCA, DORA, PSD2–PSD3, EMD, MiFID II.
Experience liaising with the MFSA and FIAU.
Strong analytical, drafting and client‑facing skills; proactive and commercially minded.
