Senior Client Accountant

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records;
• Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documentation;
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations;
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including following up on outstanding payments;
• Assist with payroll preparation and employee expense reimbursements;
• Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and account summaries;
• Carry out month-end and year-end closing activities;
• Maintain organised accounting documentation for audit and compliance purposes;
• Support audit activities, tax filings, and financial analysis;
• Ensure accounting activities are carried out in accordance with client policies and established procedures;
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments regarding accounting and financial matters;
• Review work completed by junior associates and provide guidance, training, and feedback;
• Support the mentoring and development of junior team members;
• Assist Managers, Directors, and Partners with financial analysis, reporting, and special projects;
• Provide support on additional accounting assignments and related projects as required.

Experience

• Must be a qualified accountant with an MQF Level 7 qualification or equivalent;
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting position is required;
• Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of Maltese will be considered an asset.
