Our client is an established company operating within the accounting and professional services sector.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

Manage smaller audit engagements independently, from planning through to completion, including the preparation of financial statements;
Oversee larger audit assignments, coordinating team responsibilities and ensuring deadlines are met;
Review work completed by junior auditors, providing guidance, constructive feedback and training where necessary;
Identify and communicate significant audit findings and financial reporting matters to managers and partners;
Maintain professional relationships with clients, coordinating information requirements to ensure the timely completion of assignments;
Ensure all audit work is carried out in accordance with applicable auditing standards and internal quality procedures;
Maintain accurate audit documentation and uphold high standards of professional conduct.

Experience

A recognised professional qualification, such as ACCA or equivalent;
A minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in external auditing;
Strong knowledge of applicable auditing and financial reporting standards;
Proven experience managing audit engagements independently, from planning through to completion;
Previous experience supervising, reviewing and guiding junior auditors.
