Our client within the Financial sector is looking for a Payroll Officer to handle a portofilio of clients

Responsibilities

Assist with salary processing for different clients, ensuring correctness and compliance with regulations

Keep employee records accurate, secure, and regularly updated across systems

Help prepare mandatory reports, filings, and employee compensation documents

Support submissions to authorities, including claims and statutory paperwork

Handle client payroll queries in a clear, professional, and service-oriented way

Offer basic administrative guidance on employment matters, escalating complex issues when needed

Work closely with team members to deliver smooth client support services

Contribute ideas to improve workflows, efficiency, and overall service quality

RequirementsCommunicates clearly and professionally in Maltese and English, both written and verbal

Previous experience in a similar role - local payroll experience is an asset

Strong attention to detail and confidentiality

Comfortable working with deadlines
