We are working with a small family office administration team who are looking for an accounts associate to join their team on a part-time basis. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working across a variety of tasks and appreciates the close-knit, collaborative nature of a private family office environment. The successful candidate will contribute directly to the day-to-day financial management and administration of the office, working alongside a small, dedicated team.

Responsibilities

Maintain accounting records, process bookkeeping entries, and perform reconciliations across multiple entities.
Assist in the preparation of management accounts, financial summaries, and periodic financial reports.
Process invoices, payments, and employee expense claims accurately and within established deadlines.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers as required.
Support VAT submissions, tax filings, and statutory compliance requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
Maintain accurate, organised, and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
Provide support with ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and administrative activities as required by senior management.

Requirements

3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
Hands-on and detail-oriented approach — willing to roll up your sleeves and take ownership of tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard Office applications
Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent command of English, and an understanding of Maltese is preferred
High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information

Education and Experience

Accounting qualification or a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
