Our client within the retail industry is looking for an Accountant to join their growing team

Responsibilities

Review and manage reconciliations across bank, supplier, customer, and balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring financial deadlines are met and accounting records remain accurate and current.
Prepare monthly management accounts along with supporting financial documentation and analysis.
Assist with payroll accounting, including salary postings, tax deductions, statutory contributions, and related accruals.
Support creditor and debtor processes, statutory filings, tax compliance requirements, and audit preparation.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies while providing broader finance and administrative support when required.

Requirements

Previous local experience in a similar role
Execellent written and verbal Maltese language

Education and Experience

Fully qualified or last modules in ACCA
