Private Client Tax & Residency Manager / Senior Manager

Our client, a growing professional services organisation, is seeking an experienced Private Client Tax & Residency Manager / Senior Manager to establish and lead a specialist residency and international private client advisory practice. This position offers a unique blend of technical advisory work, business development and strategic leadership, making it ideal for professionals who enjoy building services, developing client relationships and driving long-term growth.

The successful candidate will advise international individuals, business owners, executives and high-net-worth clients on Malta residency options, personal taxation matters and relocation considerations. You will oversee residency applications from initial eligibility assessments through to approvals and renewals while ensuring compliance with AML, KYC and regulatory requirements. In addition, you will help develop service offerings, create internal processes, support business development initiatives and contribute to the future direction of the practice.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and growth of the residency and relocation service offering.
Advise clients on Malta residency programmes and personal taxation matters.
Manage residency applications and related documentation.
Review KYC, AML, source of wealth and source of funds requirements.
Liaise with authorities, legal professionals and external stakeholders.
Create operational procedures, templates and quality standards.
Support client proposals, business development and service expansion initiatives.
Train and mentor team members as the practice grows.

Requirements

Proven experience in Malta residency, private client tax, immigration, relocation or global mobility services.
Strong understanding of personal taxation and residency matters affecting international individuals.
Previous exposure within a professional services, tax, legal, CSP or advisory environment.
Experience working directly with clients throughout complex application processes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organisational, case management and technical review abilities.
Professional qualification in Taxation, Accountancy, Law, Financial Advisory or a related field.
