Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of local and international clients on tax compliance and selected advisory matters.
Review and approve tax computations, tax returns, and refund claims.
Ensure all client deadlines are met effectively and on time.
Support and improve internal tax processes and procedures.
Delegate, review, and oversee work completed by junior team members.
Identify documentation and information requirements for tax engagements.
Develop and implement templates and standardised working procedures.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Monitor local and international tax developments.
Coach, mentor, and support junior colleagues.
Contribute to internal training initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

ACCA qualified or equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum of 4 years' experience within a tax environment.
Strong knowledge of Maltese tax legislation and tax compliance requirements.
Ability to apply technical tax knowledge to complex scenarios.
Knowledge of VAT and/or Transfer Pricing will be considered an advantage.
Strong project management and client relationship skills.
Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
Fluency in Maltese and English.
