Role Overview

The Storekeeper will support the accurate movement, storage and delivery of goods while helping to maintain reliable inventory information. Reporting to the Compliance, Stores and Facilities Manager, the selected candidate will combine practical stores duties with transport coordination, record-keeping and general logistical support.

Key Responsibilities

Goods Handling: Accept, examine and release materials, confirming that quantities, specifications and physical condition correspond with the relevant paperwork.
Damage Reporting: Identify and document damaged or unsuitable items, ensuring that discrepancies are reported through the appropriate channels.
Inventory Administration: Register stock movements promptly and maintain dependable information within the Business's inventory management platform.
Document Verification: Compare purchasing records, invoices, prices and received materials, making any necessary system updates and producing identification labels where required.
Warehouse Organisation: Make effective use of available storage areas and maintain a safe, clean and logically arranged stores environment.
Delivery Coordination: Schedule and oversee the movement of goods, check export information and ensure that deliveries are completed within the required timeframes.
Dispatch Documentation: Prepare delivery notes, packing records and any other paperwork required when items leave the premises.
Stock Reservations: Administer the allocation of reserved items and retain complete, well-organised supporting records.
Inventory Checks: Arrange ongoing stock counts, update stock sheets used in secondary storage areas and investigate differences where necessary.
Systems Administration: Enter relevant information into the Company's operational and financial software accurately and without unnecessary delay.
Site Security: Follow opening and closing procedures for access points and help prevent entry by individuals who are not authorised to access restricted areas.
Fleet and Equipment Support: Coordinate the availability and routine care of Company vehicles, lifting equipment and other resources used for transportation.
Waste Management: Arrange the disposal and recycling of waste, ensuring recyclable items are placed in the correct temporary collection areas.
Stock Availability: Monitor material levels and support timely replenishment to prevent shortages.
General Support: Assist the Manager with inventory-related activities and undertake other reasonable responsibilities connected with the position.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Driving Licence: A valid Category C1 driving licence is essential, while a Category C licence would be preferred.
Experience: Previous exposure to warehousing, stock handling, deliveries or a comparable operational setting would be advantageous.
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
Communication Skills: Able to exchange information clearly with colleagues, suppliers, customers and delivery contacts.
Interpersonal Skills: Comfortable contributing within a team while maintaining a helpful and professional approach.
Technical Skills: Capable of using inventory and business software for basic data entry, together with GPS technology or Google Maps for route guidance.
Organisation: Able to prioritise deliveries, maintain accurate documentation and keep storage areas systematically arranged.
Self-Motivated: Prepared to complete responsibilities independently and take ownership of assigned work.
Problem-Solving: Able to recognise stock, documentation or delivery discrepancies and take sensible action to address them.
Personal Integrity: Trustworthy, dependable and conscientious when handling goods, vehicles, equipment and Company records.
