Salary Package: €24,000 to €26,000 + Commission

The Company maintains rigorous production standards and contributes to Malta’s agricultural economy while supplying widely used consumer goods throughout the Maltese Islands.

Role Overview

Heroix is collaborating with our Client to recruit a commercially focused Sales Representative who will develop business across Malta’s hospitality and retail markets. The position will primarily serve hotels, restaurants and catering establishments while assisting with additional customer segments whenever necessary. The selected candidate will generate new revenue, strengthen existing accounts and promote the Company’s complete product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth: Increase revenue across the assigned territory by actively promoting the Company’s range to hospitality businesses, retail outlets and priority accounts.
Account Management: Build productive partnerships with culinary professionals, procurement personnel, store representatives and commercial decision-makers.
New Client Acquisition: Research potential customers, initiate contact and secure new accounts that broaden the Company’s commercial footprint.
Target Achievement: Work towards agreed monthly and quarterly objectives through effective route planning, disciplined follow-up and careful management of the sales pipeline.
Customer Retention: Maintain regular contact with existing clients, understand their requirements and provide attentive service that encourages continued business.
Product Standards: Work alongside the Distribution team to help preserve product condition, availability and appropriate rotation at customer locations.
Market Intelligence: Observe changes in customer demand and competing offerings, communicating relevant findings to support commercial decisions.
Marketing Support: Participate in product sampling, in-store visibility projects and other promotional campaigns in coordination with the Marketing team.
Brand Representation: Present the Business positively during every customer interaction by demonstrating reliability, ethical conduct and a professional approach.
Cross-Channel Assistance: Support other areas of the sales operation when changing business priorities require additional coverage.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Education: Relevant commercial, sales or business qualifications would be considered beneficial.
Experience: Previous success in fast-moving consumer goods sales is required, preferably involving food or beverage products.
Market Knowledge: A sound understanding of Malta’s hotel, restaurant and catering market is essential.
Language Skills: Strong spoken and written English and Maltese are required for effective communication with customers.
Communication Skills: The ability to explain product benefits clearly, negotiate confidently and adapt communication to different commercial audiences is important.
Interpersonal Skills: A natural ability to earn trust, maintain professional relationships and provide responsive customer service is required.
Technical Skills: Competence in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word is necessary.
Driving Requirements: A valid, clean driving licence is required.
Organisation: The successful candidate must be able to prioritise visits, maintain accurate records and manage a busy territory efficiently.
Self-Motivated: A proactive, independent and goal-focused attitude is essential, together with the determination to pursue commercial results.
Problem-Solving: The ability to recognise customer concerns, respond practically and coordinate internally to reach suitable outcomes is expected.
