Salary Package: €28,000 to €33,000 including commission

Role Overview

The International Client Development Executive will oversee a portfolio of overseas customers and support the continued expansion of the Company's export activities. The role involves understanding each customer's commercial and production requirements, coordinating orders internally and recognising opportunities to generate further business.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management: Serve as the main contact for designated overseas customers, ensuring that their enquiries and requests are addressed efficiently.
Relationship Development: Maintain consistent engagement with customers and relevant stakeholders to build trust, encourage loyalty and uncover further commercial opportunities.
Quotations: Present pricing proposals prepared by the estimating function and guide customers through any related questions or clarifications.
Internal Coordination: Connect customers with the operational and production functions, ensuring that all parties receive accurate and timely information.
Order Administration: Verify order details, pricing and technical instructions before submitting confirmed work for processing.
Revenue Growth: Develop a thorough understanding of each account to encourage additional orders and increase the commercial value of existing relationships.
Customer Representation: Communicate customers' priorities within the Business while considering production capacity, profitability and operational limitations.
Export Development: Help strengthen current overseas accounts and assist the Company in establishing a presence in additional international markets.
Technical Clarification: Work with customers and internal specialists to confirm product specifications, details and other production requirements.
Project Monitoring: Track customer work from the initial pricing stage through approval, manufacture, inspection, shipment and final receipt.
Issue Communication: Keep customers updated on revisions, delays or operational concerns that may influence completion or delivery.
Post-Delivery Follow-Up: Contact customers after receipt of their orders to assess satisfaction, address concerns and explore future requirements.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Education: A relevant academic or professional qualification in sales, marketing, business administration or a related discipline would be advantageous.
Experience: Previous experience in client account development, export sales, commercial relationship management or a comparable customer-facing position is required. Exposure to overseas markets would be particularly beneficial.
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal abilities, with the confidence to explain proposals, discuss requirements and keep customers appropriately informed.
Interpersonal Skills: A professional and approachable manner, together with the ability to establish credibility and maintain productive business connections.
Negotiation Skills: The ability to discuss commercial matters confidently and work towards outcomes that support both the customer and the Company.
Presentation Skills: Capable of communicating solutions and commercial proposals clearly and persuasively to overseas customers.
Technical Skills: Competence in customer relationship management platforms and commonly used Microsoft Office applications.
Organisation: Excellent planning skills, accuracy and the ability to coordinate several accounts, orders and deadlines simultaneously.
Self-Motivated: A proactive and commercially aware individual who takes ownership of customer relationships and actively seeks new revenue opportunities.
Problem-Solving: Able to assess customer or production-related concerns, involve the appropriate teams and identify practical resolutions.
