Role Overview

Heroix is partnering with our Client to recruit a Head of Tax Advisory. This senior leadership role involves shaping and expanding the Tax Advisory practice, leading a team of specialists, and delivering innovative tax solutions to a diverse client base. The role also requires driving strategic growth and positioning the Business as a recognised authority in the tax advisory space.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Guide the development and growth of the Tax Advisory line of business, setting the strategic direction and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Team Management: Build, mentor, and manage a team of tax professionals, fostering ongoing professional development and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain technical tax knowledge within the team, ensuring compliance with local and international tax legislation, including emerging regulations and frameworks.
Client Advisory: Provide advanced tax advice to corporate clients, international groups, and high-net-worth individuals, delivering practical and commercially sound solutions.
Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, prepare and present proposals, and cultivate strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to support growth objectives.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

Education: Fully qualified accountant or tax professional; professional tax certification preferred or willingness to obtain it.
Experience: Minimum of five years' experience in taxation, ideally with exposure to managing teams or leading a business line.
Language Skills: Excellent command of English; proficiency in Maltese is an advantage.
Communication Skills: Strong presentation, negotiation, and client-facing abilities.
Interpersonal Skills: Proven capacity to build and maintain professional relationships across teams and with clients.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity with business development tools such as CRM systems.
Organisation: Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and client expectations effectively.
Self-Motivated: Demonstrates initiative, drive, and resilience in achieving business goals.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to resolve complex tax issues.
