Paradise Bay Hotel & Resort is seeking a motivated and skilled Chef de Partie to join the culinary team of its specialty beach restaurant. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operation of an assigned kitchen section within a busy à la carte environment, preparing freshly cooked dishes to order while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, presentation, and service timing.

Key Responsibilities

Take responsibility for an assigned kitchen section under the direction of the senior kitchen team.
Prepare and cook à la carte dishes to order in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards.
Carry out mise en place efficiently and ensure the section is fully prepared for service.
Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation.
Ensure timely preparation and service of dishes, particularly during busy service periods.
Follow standard recipes, plating guidelines, and portion-control requirements.
Coordinate effectively with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service.
Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic working area at all times.
Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures.
Ensure correct storage, labelling, and stock rotation of food products.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Junior Chef de Partie, Chef de Partie, or in a similar role, preferably within an à la carte restaurant or hotel kitchen.
Good understanding of à la carte cooking techniques and service timing.
Strong cooking skills with attention to detail and presentation.
Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and kitchen hygiene standards.
Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards under pressure.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop professionally.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
