An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced finance professional to take full ownership of the finance function within a well-established and financially stable Maltese organisation. Reporting directly to the Director, you'll act as the company's trusted finance partner, providing strategic financial leadership, commercial insight and robust financial governance to support key business decisions.

This role offers the perfect balance between strategic involvement and operational leadership. You'll oversee all aspects of finance, drive improvements across financial reporting and controls, optimise processes and deliver meaningful insights that help shape the company's future. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll play a pivotal role in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial planning and business performance.

Unlike larger organisations where responsibilities are divided across multiple finance teams, this is a genuine standalone leadership position. You'll have the autonomy to develop and enhance financial processes, strengthen reporting frameworks and influence both day-to-day operations and long-term business strategy. Your expertise will be highly valued, and your contribution will have a direct and visible impact on the continued success of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting & Forecasting

Skills

3-5 years of accounting experience (Experience from an accounting firm is a plus)
Fully qualified, warranted accountant
Fluent in Maltese/English; additional languages are a bonus

Salary/Remuneration Package

€55,000-€60,000 (based on the candidate’s experience)
