Job Description

As our Team Lead IT Administration (m/f/x), you'll play a key role in keeping our Corporate IT services running smoothly while leading a team that supports colleagues across the business. You'll be the trusted point of contact for stakeholders at all levels, building strong relationships and ensuring excellent service delivery.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with diverse stakeholders, embraces automation, and knows how to balance technology, service quality, and business needs. This role combines people leadership, operational oversight, and stakeholder management to keep the team on top of its game and always looking for ways to improve.

Your Playing Field

You'll lead a Service Desk team, creating an environment where people feel empowered, supported, and motivated to raise their game every day.
Your coaching and leadership will help team members grow professionally while building a high-performing team that delivers exceptional service.
From resource planning to shift coverage, you'll make sure the team is always in the best position to support the business effectively.
You'll foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, creating an environment where people feel empowered to take ownership and grow.
You'll provide technical guidance and clear direction, helping the team tackle challenges with confidence and consistency.
By keeping Jira Service Management operations running smoothly, you'll ensure issues are prioritised correctly and resolved with the right level of urgency.
Your focus on service performance will help us continuously improve response times, reduce backlogs, and deliver a seamless support experience.
You'll use operational insights and reporting to drive smarter decisions, measure success, and identify opportunities for improvement.
You'll oversee the Service Desk operational budget, making sure teams have access to the right technology, licences, and support services while helping us plan effectively for future needs.
You'll take ownership of financial and asset controls across the Service Desk, balancing cost forecasting, licence utilisation, hardware lifecycle planning, stock management, and supplier performance to keep our operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

Which Skills You Should Bring to the Pitch

Leadership Experience. Proven experience leading and developing IT support, administration, or service desk teams.
IT Administration. At least 5 years of experience in system administration and/or application engineering environments.
Technical Expertise. Strong knowledge of cloud and virtualisation technologies, including Azure, AWS, or VMware.
Communication Skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management. Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively across teams.
Organisational Skills. Strong planning, prioritisation, and operational management capabilities in fast-paced environments.
Problem Solving. Sound judgement and situational awareness with a proactive approach to operational challenges.
English Fluency. Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Academic Background. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
