We are looking for an experienced, passionate and motivated CHEF DE PARTIE to join our team.

This position is ideal for a professional chef who is confident working in a busy kitchen, preparing high-quality food for both daily restaurant service and large-scale events.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare Mediterranean, Maltese and international cuisine to a consistently high standard.
Prepare pizzas and manage the pizza station independently.
Prepare and manage BBQ service.
Work confidently in both à la carte and buffet service.
Prepare and deliver food for corporate events, private functions and large celebrations.
Maintain excellent food presentation, consistency and quality.
Ensure full compliance with HACCP standards and food safety regulations.
Work closely with the management team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Chef/Cook in a busy restaurant, gastro pub or hotel.
Strong knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine.
Experience preparing traditional Maltese cuisine.
Experience in pizza preparation.
Experience with BBQ cooking.
Experience catering for corporate events, private functions and large-scale events.
Ability to work confidently in both buffet and à la carte service.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Flexible, proactive and solution-oriented approach.
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Skills (Highly Preferred):

Experience creating and developing menus.
Knowledge of food costing and menu engineering.
Ability to calculate recipe costs and maintain target food cost percentages.
Experience with stock control, ordering and waste reduction.
Good understanding of kitchen budgeting and cost optimisation.
