Position Overview

An Accounts Clerk is sought to support the finance department by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, monitoring customer accounts, and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will perform daily cash and bank reconciliations, process invoices and payments, reconcile supplier statements, and maintain accurate accounting records.

The role includes managing debtor accounts, following up on outstanding payments, preparing customer statements and reminder letters, resolving payment-related queries, and updating collection records within the accounting system.

Responsibilities also involve reconciling intercompany balances, handling confidential financial information, liaising with internal departments regarding customer payments, and providing general administrative support to the finance team as required.

Requirements

Candidates should possess an A-Level in Accounts or an Advanced Diploma in Accounting (AAT or equivalent), together with at least two years of experience in a similar accounting role.

Fluency in Maltese, good communication skills, and the ability to work accurately with financial information are essential.

The ideal candidate should be organised, detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
