Position Overview

A Field Service Biomedical Engineer – Healthcare is sought to join a growing technical department, providing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for a range of specialised healthcare and biomedical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will manage onsite installations and servicing of new equipment, plan daily technical activities, investigate reported issues, conduct diagnostic tests, and identify effective solutions to equipment-related problems.

The role includes troubleshooting breakdowns, carrying out preventive maintenance, coordinating repairs, and ensuring equipment continues to operate safely and effectively.

Responsibilities also involve recommending technical and system improvements, maintaining accurate documentation of installations and service activities, preparing detailed and timely service reports, and collaborating closely with the wider technical team to share information and support efficient operations.

Requirements

Candidates should possess vocational training, an MCAST degree, or another relevant technical qualification. Newly qualified MCAST students and graduates are also encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong technical and problem-solving abilities, good organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a technical team.

Knowledge or experience in CAD/CAM design will be considered an asset.
