Position Overview

An enthusiastic and engaging Chef – Culinary Experiences is sought to lead cooking classes, farm-to-table experiences, and culinary events centred around Maltese and Mediterranean cuisine. The role combines practical culinary expertise with guest interaction, requiring someone who enjoys sharing knowledge of local food, ingredients, and traditions.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will lead hands-on cooking classes for local and international guests, host Maltese culinary and farm-to-table experiences, and deliver engaging demonstrations for private groups, corporate activities, and organised events.

The role includes developing seasonal workshops and new culinary experiences while working with traditional Maltese recipes, local produce, and Mediterranean cooking techniques.

Responsibilities also involve supporting special events and ensuring guests receive a welcoming, informative, and professional experience throughout each activity.

Outside scheduled classes and events, the candidate will assist with standard kitchen preparation, service, and general culinary operations while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation.

Requirements

Candidates should be experienced chefs with strong practical cooking skills and a genuine passion for Maltese cuisine, local produce, and culinary traditions.

Confidence in speaking, cooking, and demonstrating techniques in front of groups is essential, together with an energetic, friendly, and guest-focused personality.

Candidates must currently reside in Malta, hold a valid Food Handler Certificate, and have a clean Police Conduct.

Fluency in both Maltese and English is required, while knowledge of additional languages will be considered an advantage.

The ideal candidate should also demonstrate creativity and enthusiasm for developing new workshops, events, and culinary experiences.
