Position Overview

An organised and detail-oriented Supply Chain Officer is sought to support purchasing, logistics, production planning, and import and export activities within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role focuses on ensuring the timely supply and movement of materials while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with applicable quality, customs, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will support supplier management activities, maintain purchasing documentation, generate material planning reports, request quotations, issue purchase orders, and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock items.

The role includes supporting production-related material planning, identifying alternative suppliers, handling supplier incidents and complaints, and collaborating with Quality teams on specifications and purchasing controls.

Responsibilities also involve coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing shipment invoices, processing returns and credit notes, and managing cold-chain shipments for products and samples.

The candidate will support the import and export of controlled substances and dangerous materials while ensuring customs documentation and shipping activities comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and documentation requirements.

Requirements

Candidates should hold a Diploma or University Degree in a relevant field and have proven experience within supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or a related area.

Excellent written and spoken English is required, together with strong organisational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple supply chain activities effectively.

The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, results-oriented, dependable, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of regulations relating to dangerous goods shipments is required, with relevant DGR certification expected. Previous experience within a GMP-regulated or pharmaceutical environment will be considered an asset but is not essential.
