We are seeking to recruit an experienced and hands-on Head of Maintenance to oversee the maintenance and technical operations of our hotel.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the hotel’s rooms, plant, equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard, with particular emphasis on preventative maintenance and the timely resolution of faults.

Requirements

Candidates should have:

Previous experience in a Head of Maintenance, Maintenance Manager or similar role, preferably within a hotel or large commercial property
Good working knowledge of plant and machinery
Electrical License B
Good knowledge and practical experience in plumbing
Experience with air-conditioning and HVAC systems
Ability to diagnose faults and carry out or coordinate repairs
Strong understanding of preventative maintenance programmes
Ability to supervise and coordinate maintenance staff and external contractors
Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
Ability to organise, prioritise and follow through on maintenance works
Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends, according to the operational requirements of the hotel
Availability to respond to urgent maintenance issues when required

We are looking for someone who is proactive and hands-on, who can identify maintenance requirements before they develop into larger problems and take ownership of the overall upkeep of the property.

Previous experience in a similar position is essential.
