We are seeking a reliable and organised Hotel Storekeeper to join our team at our 4-star hotel in Malta.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the receiving, storage, and distribution of hotel supplies while ensuring accurate stock control and efficient support to all departments.

Main Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.

Ensure all incoming goods are checked for quantity, quality, and condition.

Organise and maintain the hotel storerooms in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.

Store food, beverages, cleaning materials, guest supplies, and operational items according to company procedures.

Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of supplies.

Issue goods to various hotel departments according to approved requests.

Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular stock counts.

Report shortages, damages, discrepancies, or expired items to management.

Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.

Assist with inventory control, minimise wastage, and support cost-control measures.

Maintain compliance with hygiene, health and safety, and food safety standards.

Coordinate effectively with Purchasing, Kitchen, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and other departments.

Ensure storerooms, refrigerators, and storage areas are maintained according to hotel standards.

Perform administrative duties related to stock documentation and record keeping.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Storekeeper role preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.

Good understanding of stock control, inventory procedures, and goods receiving processes.

Ability to accurately record stock movements and maintain documentation.

Good organisational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems will be considered an asset.

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is preferred.

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Proficiency in English; knowledge of Maltese and other languages will be considered an advantage.

Flexibility to work according to operational requirements.
