Senior Inspector

We are recruiting a Senior Inspector on a full-time basis.

The role involves carrying out cargo inspections and sampling while providing technical guidance, leadership and practical support to field personnel.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform cargo inspection and sampling according to client instructions and applicable ASTM, API MPMS, Energy Institute and Company requirements.
• Handle complex or higher-responsibility inspection assignments.
• Act as a leader, trainer, advisor and facilitator for field personnel.
• Assist with the training and development of new and existing employees.
• Maintain effective communication between the Operations Coordinator and the field.
• Ensure inspection equipment is maintained in good condition and deficiencies are reported promptly.

Requirements and Competencies

• Typically between three and five years of relevant experience as an Inspector.
• Demonstrated competence at Senior Inspector level.
• In-depth practical knowledge of petroleum cargo measurement, sampling, calculations and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of applicable ASTM, API MPMS and Energy Institute standards.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and practical field training.
• Strong command of English and proficiency in spreadsheets and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage complex field assignments.
• Confidence and tact when dealing with clients, terminals, vessel personnel and other third parties.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and full offshore days.
• Valid and clean Category B manual driving licence.
