We are seeking a motivated and analytical Data Engineer to design, develop and implement data solutions that support business requirements and improve organisational performance.

The successful candidate will work with different technologies and analytics tools to transform complex business needs into effective data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and implement data engineering and analytics solutions.
Analyse business requirements and translate them into structured data solutions.
Support the development and implementation of Data and AI use cases.
Assess existing data systems and recommend improvements in performance, usability and architecture.
Build and maintain data solutions using analytics and visualisation tools.
Perform data development, integration and testing.
Document technical solutions, design decisions and operating procedures.
Collaborate with project teams and clients to deliver data-related projects.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools and industry practices.

Requirements

Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
Proficiency in SQL, Python and Apache Spark.
Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, Azure Data Factory and Git.
Knowledge of data modelling, data integration, analytics, machine learning and AI is recommended.
Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Qlik or Tableau.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team or independently.
