Hello from Euro Tax

We are a business advisory firm based in Malta, and we have been doing this since 2013. Our clients are entrepreneurs, investors and owner-managed companies from German-speaking Europe who set up and run their businesses in Malta and Cyprus. We support them with company formations, holding structures, relocation and all the compliance work that follows together with our licensed partners.

We are a compact team, and that shapes how we work. Everyone knows what the others are dealing with, questions get answered across the desk rather than through a ticket system, and nobody is left alone with a file they have never seen before. If something is unclear, you ask. That is the whole process.

We are now looking for a qualified accountant to take over a client portfolio and grow with us.

What your work will look like

You will look after your own portfolio of Maltese companies, from day-to-day bookkeeping through to the finished set of accounts.
You will prepare monthly and quarterly closings and management accounts that clients actually use to make decisions.
You will prepare financial statements under GAPSME or IFRS and hand them over to the auditor
You will handle VAT returns, recapitulative statements and OSS declarations.
You will prepare corporate income tax returns and refund claims with the Commissioner for Tax and Customs.
You will run payroll, including FS3 and FS5 submissions.
You will deal directly with clients, auditors, banks and authorities, and you will speak to the people who actually own the companies you work on.

Who we are looking for

A qualified accountant: ACCA, a Bachelor or Master in Accountancy from the University of Malta, or an equivalent qualification.
Around 2 to 3 years of experience in an audit or advisory firm, a corporate service provider, or the finance team of an internationally active company.
Solid knowledge of Maltese VAT and GAPSME reporting.
Comfortable working in cloud accounting software and confident with Excel.
Someone who works in an organised way, keeps deadlines in view and says so early when something does not add up.
Excellent English. German is genuinely useful here, but we will not rule you out without it.

Our processes are digital end to end, and we keep improving them. If you have ideas on how to make something faster, we want to hear them.
