Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Industrial Equipment Technician to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of industrial equipment and automation systems. This position requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, electronics, PLCs, and control systems, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and reliable solutions. The role covers the complete equipment lifecycle, from installation and commissioning through maintenance, upgrades, and technical support. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, automation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, maintain, and repair industrial equipment and automated systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electronic, and software components into operational systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during equipment installation, operation, and maintenance.
Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, electronic, and automation systems.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and customers when required.
Participate in technical training programs and continuous professional development activities.
Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation, service records, and operational procedures.
Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain technical support and product information.
Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and project documentation.
Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of new products, systems, and technical solutions.
Support process improvements and contribute to equipment reliability and performance enhancement initiatives.
Stay informed about emerging technologies and advancements in automation, mechatronics, and industrial systems.

Requirements

MQF Level 5 Qualification in Mechatronics Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Proven experience in mechatronics, industrial equipment maintenance, automation, or a similar technical role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electronics and electrical systems, automation technologies, and software-controlled equipment.
Experience working with PLCs and logic controllers.
Understanding of industrial control systems and automation processes.
Experience with testing, diagnostics, simulation, and troubleshooting tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and technical challenges simultaneously.
Strong technical reporting and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Willingness to travel when required for training and technical support activities.
