Join our team as an Accounts Executive and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting and financial administration of our business.

This hands-on role covers reconciliations, accounts receivable, supplier payments, cash management, reporting and financial administration. Working closely with management, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your responsibilities and contribute to the success of a growing business.

We're looking for a proactive, organised and detail-oriented individual who can work independently and take initiative when required.

Think you're the right fit? Here's what we're looking for

Possess an MQF Level 3 qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience;
Have at least 1 year's experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, finance or similar role;
Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, standard office applications and accounting software;
Possess strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills;
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Be capable of identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively;
Be able to work independently with minimal supervision;
Be trustworthy, reliable and able to handle confidential information;
Be enthusiastic, committed and possess a strong work ethic.

Bonus points if you also have

Experience using Zoho Books or similar accounting systems;
Experience in accounts receivable, supplier payments or reconciliations;
Experience within a wholesale, retail or distribution environment;
Knowledge of VAT reporting and accounting controls;
A willingness to identify and implement process improvements.

Some of your key responsibilities will include

Perform daily bank and account reconciliations and ensure transactions are accurately recorded;
Reconcile customer payments, loan accounts and online payment platforms;
Manage petty cash, cash deposits and post-dated cheques;
Process journals, supplier payments and other accounting entries;
Monitor debtor balances and follow up on outstanding payments;
Produce daily, weekly and periodic reports and summaries;
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation;
Verify the accuracy of invoices, receipts, deposits and other financial records;
Support month-end activities and contribute to strong financial controls;
Assist in improving accounting processes and procedures.
