CapServices Limited is a boutique Class C Company Service Provider (CSP) and a member of an international group, the Capricorn Group, providing company formation services, corporate, book-keeping, VAT and tax compliance, payroll, governance and company secretarial services to a diverse portfolio of local and international clients.

As part of our continued growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, act as the firm's primary accounting contact, mentor junior team members, and work closely with senior management in developing and expanding the function.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and take ownership of a portfolio of local and international clients across various industries.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all accounting-related matters.
Prepare and review management accounts, annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
Prepare and review VAT returns, VAT Recapitulative Statements, Income Tax computations and other statutory filings.
Ensure compliance with applicable deadlines and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, banks, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders.
Review the work of junior accountants and provide coaching, mentoring and technical guidance.
Support the professional development of junior team members through training and knowledge sharing.
Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and enhance service delivery.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional client service.
Work independently, prioritise workload effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
Support senior management on technical accounting matters and contribute to the continued growth of the accounting function.

Qualifications and Experience

A warranted CPA with ACCA/MIA qualification, B.Comm (Accountancy), or equivalent professional accounting background.
A minimum of five (5) years' relevant accounting experience.
Previous experience working within a Corporate Service Provider (CSP) environment.
Experience working in a client-facing role within an international and professional setting.
Strong technical knowledge of Maltese VAT and Income Tax legislation.
Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Xero, together with Microsoft Office applications.
Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients independently.
Experience supervising, coaching and mentoring junior team members.
The ability to work on their own initiative, take ownership of responsibilities and drive work to completion.
Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
A collaborative boutique-firm mindset, with readiness to support the wider team whenever needed.
Mastery of the English language, both spoken and written.
