Head of Finance

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to take a leading role in managing and developing our finance function, supporting strategic decision-making, driving financial performance and contributing to the continued growth and success of M&Z p.l.c.

Roles And Responsibilities

Lead and manage the finance function and finance team.
Oversee monthly management accounts, financial reporting and financial analysis.
Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts and cash-flow projections.
Monitor financial performance and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to senior management.
Support strategic and commercial decision-making across the business.
Ensure robust financial controls, processes and procedures are maintained and continuously improved.
Manage statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with auditors, banks and other external stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability and overall financial performance.
Develop and strengthen the finance team, processes and systems.
Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the company’s financial strategy.

What We Are Looking For

An experienced, commercially minded and forward-thinking finance professional with strong leadership capabilities.
ACCA qualification or equivalent.
A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Proven experience in a senior finance or financial management position.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building abilities.
A strategic and commercial mindset, combined with a hands-on approach.
The ability to work independently while partnering effectively with senior management.
High standards of integrity, accuracy and professionalism.
