Delivery Person

Asian Food Group - W. International Trading Ltd is a food importing and distribution business specialising in the sourcing, importation and supply of Asian quality food products to customers in Malta. The company manages the full supply chain, including purchasing, logistics, warehousing, cold storage and delivery, ensuring products are handled and distributed efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, food safety and customer service.

Job Purpose

To ensure the safe, timely and professional delivery of food products to customers while maintaining the condition and integrity of the goods throughout the delivery process.

Key Responsibilities

• Load customer orders onto the delivery vehicle safely and accurately.
• Check orders against delivery documentation before leaving the warehouse.
• Plan and follow assigned delivery routes efficiently.
• Deliver goods to customers within agreed delivery times.
• Obtain customer confirmation / signatures for deliveries where required.
• Handle products carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
• Ensure appropriate storage / temperature requirements are maintained during transportation where applicable.
• Report damaged, missing or incorrect products immediately.
• Collect returned goods and documentation where required.
• Collect payments where this forms part of the role and account for all monies received.
• Return signed delivery notes and relevant documentation to the office.
• Maintain the delivery vehicle in a clean and orderly condition.
• Carry out basic vehicle checks and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
• Comply with all road traffic, health and safety and company procedures.
• Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers.
• Assist with loading / unloading and warehouse duties when required.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding customers, orders and company information.
• Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Skills and Competencies

• Valid driving licence appropriate to the vehicle being driven.
• Good knowledge of local roads and routes.

• Physically capable of loading and unloading goods safely.
