General Maintenance Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tendering Executive with proven experience in structural steel, fabrication, and steel construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete tendering process, from identifying opportunities and reviewing tender documents to preparing competitive bids and coordinating submissions. Experience in steel works cost estimation, BOQ analysis, supplier negotiations, and tender compliance is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate new tender opportunities in the steel fabrication and construction sector.
Review tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
Prepare technical and commercial proposals in accordance with client requirements.
Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, and finance teams to obtain accurate pricing and technical information.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimations for structural steel, miscellaneous steel, and fabrication works.
Ensure compliance with tender requirements, contractual obligations, and submission deadlines.
Submit tenders through online procurement portals and maintain tender records.
Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and clarification meetings when required.
Monitor tender status and support post-tender negotiations and contract award processes.
Maintain a database of tender submissions, pricing history, and project outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in tendering, estimation, or bid management within the steel fabrication, structural steel, or construction industry.
Strong understanding of steel structures, fabrication processes, welding specifications, and construction methodologies.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Experience preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and commercial proposals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and tender management systems.
Knowledge of public and private procurement procedures and e-tendering platforms is an advantage.
Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
