The Content Editor is a skilled and detail-oriented individual with experience working with content and SEO teams. This role oversees the execution for all evergreen content updates across multiple brands. This person is responsible for writing, editing, and posting content on high-value pages, including operator reviews. The role requires a deep understanding of brand guidelines and SEO best practices for affiliate marketing websites. The person in this role must be a subject matter expert in their given vertical. The Content Editor must produce engaging and compliant content at pace while upholding high publishing standards of the brands within their portfolio. This role is expected to leverage AI tools, including Claude, along with automations and other emerging technologies, to enhance efficiency and quality across every stage of the content workflow—from research and drafting through editing, SEO optimization, and publishing—while maintaining brand voice, accuracy, and compliance. The Content Editor also assigns and oversees work completed by freelance writers, and must exercise sound judgment in determining which tasks call for human authorship or subject-matter expertise versus which are well suited to AI-augmented workflows.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

Write, edit, and post evergreen content, including operator reviews as directed by the Content Lead.
Maintain a strong understanding of brand guidelines and specific vertical requirements (ex. Casino or sports).
Adhere to content requirements for compliance, particularly when writing about partner operators. Ensure all content meets legal and regulatory standards.
Implement SEO best practices in all content, including keyword integration, meta descriptions, and optimized headlines, to improve search visibility and engagement.
Utilize the content management system efficiently to create, edit, and publish content. Troubleshoot any CMS-related issues and ensure content is correctly formatted and presented.
Leverage AI tools, such as Claude, and workflow automations to accelerate research, drafting, editing, and SEO optimization, while ensuring all AI-assisted output is fact-checked, brand-aligned, and compliant prior to publishing.
Assign and manage work with freelance writers, providing clear briefs, feedback, and quality control, while determining which assignments require human authorship or subject-matter expertise versus those suited to AI-augmented workflows.
Follow content briefs provided by the SEO team to update and optimize pages. Also produce content briefs as needed.
Produce high-quality content at a fast pace while maintaining attention to detail. Meet deadlines consistently and manage workload effectively to balance content assignments.
Build and edit webpages with a UX-first mindset.

TO DO IT YOU'LL NEED:

A minimum of three years of experience in web editing, writing, and publishing, and a two- or four-year college degree.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including knowledge of AP style.
Comfortable writing and editing under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong eye for page layout and on-page user experience.
Past experience writing for the gaming industry and sports betting or online casino is preferred.
Experience working in WordPress is preferred.
Proficiency with, or strong willingness to learn, AI writing and editing tools (e.g., Claude) and content automation platforms to improve speed and quality of output.
Experience assigning, briefing, and reviewing work from freelance writers, with sound judgment for when tasks require human authorship or subject-matter expertise versus when AI-augmented approaches are appropriate.

How Success is Measured:

Publishing velocity: volume of evergreen updates and new pages delivered against monthly targets and deadlines.
Compliance and quality accuracy: error rate and pass rate on compliance/editorial audits.
Turnaround time: average time from content brief to published page.
AI and automation adoption: effective, responsible use of AI tools and automations to improve efficiency and output quality across the content workflow.
