Pool Service Technician

We are looking for a reliable, motivated and detail-oriented Pool Service Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining swimming pools and hot tubs, ensuring they remain clean, safe, chemically balanced and fully operational. This role requires someone who takes pride in their work, has good problem-solving skills and can work independently while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Pool and Spa maintenance: Skim debris, vacuum pool floors, brush pool walls and clean skimmer and pump baskets.

• Water chemistry: Test and monitor water quality, analyse chemical levels and accurately balance chlorine, pH, alkalinity and other water treatments to ensure safe and clear water.

• Equipment inspection: Inspect pumps, filters, heaters and automatic pool cleaners to ensure they are functioning correctly. Identify and report any maintenance or repair requirements.

• System servicing: Carry out routine filter backwashing, cartridge cleaning and general pool equipment maintenance.

• Customer service: Maintain friendly and professional communication with clients, answer basic questions and complete service reports after each visit.

• Inventory and organisation: Monitor stock levels of chemicals, tools, and maintenance supplies, ensuring all necessary materials are available.

• Daily scheduling: Follow assigned service routes and schedules, ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently and on time.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in pool maintenance, spa servicing, or a similar outdoor maintenance role is preferred. However, we are happy to train the right candidate.

• Technical skills: Basic understanding of pool maintenance, water chemistry and equipment operation is an advantage.

• Time management: Good organisational skills and the ability to manage daily tasks and schedules effectively.

• Problem-solving: Ability to identify basic maintenance issues and take appropriate action.

• Work ethic: Reliable, punctual, self-motivated and able to work independently.

• Attention to detail: A responsible approach to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and service quality.
