We are seeking a reliable and responsible Heavy Vehicle Driver to safely transport and deliver goods to various locations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the vehicle safely, meeting delivery schedules, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring cargo is properly handled.

Key Responsibilities

Drive heavy vehicles safely for local and long-distance deliveries.
Plan routes and meet scheduled delivery times.
Load, unload, secure, and properly arrange cargo.
Verify loads and record deliveries accurately.
Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers regarding deliveries.
Follow all applicable traffic laws, driving regulations, and safety procedures.
Carry out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, incidents, or violations promptly.
Ensure any mechanical issues are addressed before operating the vehicle.
Maintain accurate records of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections.
Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including refuelling and cleaning.
Use forklifts and pallet jacks for loading and unloading where required.
Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Carry out other duties related to the role as required.
