EMP Ltd., operators of Botanika, are seeking to recruit a reliable person for the immediate future to manage a new opening of a garden shop in Birkirkara. As a Sales Assistant at our shop, you will be providing outstanding customer service and supporting the day-to-day operations of the shop, ensuring a well-organised, attractive, and pleasant shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers with their gardening needs, offering expert advice on plants, tools, and accessories.
Upsell products, suggest complementary items, and encourage repeat business.
Stay up-to-date on product ranges, including plants, gardening tools, fertilizers, and outdoor décor.
Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked, organised, and visually appealing.
Assist in stock rotation and inventory management, including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the store, including watering plants and cleaning shelves.
Assist in setting up seasonal displays and promotions to enhance store presentation and attract customers.
Operate the cash register, process sales transactions, and handle payments accurately.

Requirements:

Ability to work well under pressure.
Flair for sales and an outgoing and welcoming approach with customers.
Secondary school minimum level of education; Computer literacy.
Good level of communication in the English language.
Applicants with past experience in running a similar shop/centre are invited to apply.
The successful person has to have at least 3 years past experience in the Horticultural & Agricultural field.
